Update on Danny - this little boy is doing so much better! He is healing and now is able to be placed out in a small fenced tent area to potty and get some fresh air and sunshine. Check out his video. He's practically frolicking! While he still tires easily, we have great hopes for his speedy recovery.

Meet jerry
This is Jerry, who was hit by a car. Due to your support, we were able to pull him from a public shelter and arrange for the needed $2,000 surgical procedure on his hip.
The picture on the right is when he was first pulled from the shelter. The picture on the left is after his surgery. He came through fine and is doing great. Stay tuned for more pictures as this sweet young mini poodle heals up and starts looking for a new forever home! |
This is Cinnamon Spice. This tiny teacup has a severely luxated patella and needs surgery. Even with a good price from a friendly vet, the bill will be around $2000; far exceeding what adoption revenues will bring.

Meet Malcolm. This 4 year old male (neutered) mini was recently pulled from BARC. He was brought to the vet immediately to be treated for a broken left front leg.
The BARC description was that Malcolm is non weight bearing on left front leg with a possible fractured radius/ulna and carpus.
The lower leg is dangling and there is crepitus in carpus and lower radius/ulna. The dog is neutered, very friendly and has a natural tail and nice coat.
Note: Malcolm is now on the mend and looks forward to meeting you soon at PRH.
Update on Bob Barker (below right): Bob Barker's sarcoptic mange is fully healed up and his coat is growing back in well. Check him out on the Available Dogs page and Petfinder!

Sweet Hulk at PRH
Update on Hulk: he's getting around well on his own and was recently adopted to a loving forever home. This dog was so badly matted that it amputated the foreleg. Please help give this boy - and so many others - a second chance for a decent life and a decent forever home. |
PRH picked up these 3 young poodles that were dumped in a box by the side of the road in Brazoria. They got help for their skin problems - and a better chance for a decent life.
In addition to severe skin problems, this pup has got a broken hip.
